David Haslam, professional from 1975 - 1995 remains an active member of the club today, playing to a handicap of 5. For a time he held the course record at nearby Ashford Manor Golf Club and was Wiltshire County Champion on no less than 6 occasions. David played in several exhibition matches with the likes of Bobby Locke and Peter Alliss and in 1969 he refereed the Ryder Cup match between Tony Jacklin and Neil Coles against Lee Trevino and Jerry Barber.
