The Club’s oldest trophy is the Chiswick Cup. Originally presented to the Chiswick Golf Club prior to 1900, on the demise of Chiswick links, due to the continuing development of London, many of its members were accommodated by Fulwell. One of those members , Mr C. L. O’Malley presented Fulwell with the trophy in 1907 and it has been played for ever since as the Club’s premier singles knockout tournament.
The first picture below displays an emotive scene of this trophy being presented to the winner in 1927 by Mr O’Malley. The second photograph shows a similar occasion at the Club’s finals presentation ceremony in 2005. Fashions and personalities may have changed but the silverware lives on.
