CLUB PROFESSIONAL
- BACKGROUND
I started my career as an assistant at
Lindrick Golf Club, which is famous for our Ryder Cup
Victory in 1957. Whilst there I studied for and
passed my PGA Professional Exams in 1984.
I then moved down to Hampshire in 1985 to join Andrew
Hall at Blackmoor Golf Club. After a short period I
was delighted to be asked to join the team at the
Berkshire Golf Club, where I remained for 5 years. I was
then appointed as Professional at The Army Golf Club in
1990, before finally moving to become the Head
Professional at Fulwell in 1995.
I have competed in many events at local,
regional and national levels. Having won several of the
pro-am and stroke play events my desire to keep improving
led me to David Leadbetters Golf Academy in
Florida, in 1993. Ive had many coaching sessions
there and not only has it improved my own game but I have
gained a greater understanding of the golf swing which
has benefited all my pupils.
